Week 9 - April 23 - 26
I am expected to make decisions at work like when something needs to be completed I have to decide which way to complete the task. Working at a school there are many different ways to do different tasks. If I make a mistake(which rarely happens) I inform my supervisor or the closest teacher or EA around, and I ask them for help or how to fix the mistake. At this CO-OP placement it is also very important to always ask questions. If I would have never asked any questions I would not know how to do the stuff and tasks that I can now do. Here at St. Andrew School no one really does anything wrong because every teacher makes their own lesson plans and they run their class their own way, therefore no one rarely has to apologize to anyone. I am half way through CO-OP and I feel great. This CO-OP experience has been a great one. These last nine weeks have been wonderful. Everyday I feel more and more welcomed, needed and useful as each day goes by. I am now doing a lot more than before. Everyday my supervisors always find something for me to do, whether it be cutting stuff up, photocopying, laminating, marking or even putting marks into books, I always feel needed. I am strongly thinking about becoming an elementary school teacher in the future. This job really seems perfect more me. I can’t wait to see what happens in the second half at this CO-OP placement.
