April 30 - May 4, 2007 - Week 10

At my placement I always feel respected. This placement gives me a warm feeling when I enter through the door every afternoon. At St. Andrew school I do not feel angry at all. The only I feel angry is with the grade eight students when they are continuously talking, not paying attention or when they do not listen to anyone. It is very hard to complete anything when they keep talking and not listening. They are getting better than when I first started. The "Joe" jobs I have to do at Coop are photocopying, laminating, and cleaning up the work areas. These jobs have got to be the easiest jobs at this placement. They are much easier than marking, recording or typing assignments to hand out to the students. These jobs are very natural for teachers, as they have to complete these jobs daily. When I’m nervous or unsure about something, I always ask. If I am about to do something but I am unsure on how to do it, I always ask.. I have been taught that is always better to ask and take longer and get the job done right, than not to ask, finish faster but the job be complete incorrectly. I always like to ask, so I know I am doing the job correctly. Overall, this week was great because I fee li had more responsibility, for example, during the play I had to sit in the middle to make sure the students were not talking. I had to separate them and move them to make the situation much better. This placement is always getting better each week.
