Week 6 April 2 - 5

My CO-OP placement seems to be getting better and better as each week goes by. Lately I have been completing more and more tasks than before. I have been inputting more grades for Mr. Hundt, and I have been marking a lot of music test. quizzes and sheets for Mr. Tallevi. I would like to be able to get in front of the class more and do some teaching, instead of always sitting to the side marking and grading projects and tests. At my CO-OP placement I receive many compliments all the time, for example when I get to class early and do things without being told everyone tells me that I have great initiative and they tell to keep doing all the great work. Also lately I feel more like I am in control because the students listen to me much better than before. This last week was a little different, because on Thursday Mr. Tallevi or Mr. Hundt were not at the school so I helped Mrs. Guerin, who is a grade two teacher. I just had to help the students finish their Easter Bunny poems. Asking questions on the job is always a good thing at my Co-Op placement, because I always want to make sure the jobs and tasks that I have been assigned get done properly. For example, if I am marking a test I need to know what to give part marks for, I need to know what the test is marked out of, etc. This CO-OP placement was a excellent choice fore me. The people I work with, help and the students have all been wonderful. I really enjoy coming to St. Andrew School everyday. .
