Week 2 - February 26 - March 2, 2007

Being ready at my placement means arriving on time, preparing the class room, making photocopies, helping the teachers and students. This placement is what I expected because my older brother is a teacher and he has explained some situations, which have happened to me over the last two weeks. At my placement I feel very welcomed because the staff and students are polite and considerate. This placement is making me want to become a teacher even more than when I first started helping. The two teachers I work with (Mr. Tallevi & Mr. Hundt) make me feel so good by the way they treat me and respect me and give me many different responsibilities. Throughout the last two weeks there were some situations that really made me feel useful. For example when student during gym class ask how to do a certain activity or certain stretch. Many students at this school are neighbours or I know them from other places is one kind of situation I do not like because they see me more as a friend than and Teacher's Assistant. I also found that being a teacher is not as easy as it looks. There is a lot of preparing and marking that the teachers must complete. These last two weeks have been amazing really enjoy going to my placement everyday.
