Week 1 - February 19 - 23, 2007

I felt welcome at my placement because on the first day I liked how the principal showed me around and introduced me to the staff(who are very nice). At my placement appropriate dress and grooming means I can come to my placement in my H.T. uniform, or I can change into dress pants and a nice shirt. My job duties will be: Helping set up the gym for the classes, photocopying sheets for the teachers, organizing and cleaning the cupboards, closets and storage rooms, and also helping during in class time. Monday to Thursday I will be in the gym with Mr. Hundt or Mr. Tallevi, on Fridays I help Mr. Tallevi in the class room. I think I made a good first impression this week when I was listening and doing everything they asked. This placement seem like it is going to be fun and this is what I might want to pursue as a career. I was surprised how loud Mr. Tallevi grade eight class is, and the only way to make them quiet was to take away there recess or make them stay after class. I think I am going to have a great four months at this placement.
